"If we do not understand and integrate the shaping power of institutions, social norms, economic systems, oppression and privilege alongside the profound influences of family and community, we will not fully understand trauma or how to heal from it.
We will not understand how to prevent it."
Staci K. Haines
What To Expect
I believe that in the hardest moments of our lives, we deserve to be supported, believed, and honored.
As a proudly queer and queer-affirmative counsellor
I am experienced in helping individuals and their loved ones
explore their gender and sexual identities.
I work affirmatively with neurodiverse folks and am invested in
adjusting the counselling process to meet the needs of
folks on the spectrum and with ADHD.
My background includes years of supporting survivors of abuse and assault in ways that center safety, validation, and removing blame. I also love working with teens and youth as they begin to assert who they are and learn life skills to cope and communicate.

The modalities I integrate are:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Feminist Narrative Therapy
Gottman (Relationship Therapy)
Animal-Assisted Therapy
& Trauma-Informed Mindfulness.
I also do Hormone Readiness Assessments

I take a flexible and imaginative approach to each client's needs.
My job is to help you find what works: whether you're at your best when talking through a challenge, or you shine when able to paint out your feelings, or would prefer a nature walk with my
therapy-assistant doggo by our sides.
Activism, humility, continual learning, and advocacy are important parts of my life and my commitment to my clients. My philosophy centers compassion, acceptance, and humor.
I am kink, poly, and sex worker allied.
