The Calm Place Meditation (sometimes known as a Safe Place Meditation) is a great way to learn to shift states - from anxious to grounded. This meditation trains the nervous system to remember a sense of peace and calm, while strengthening the mind's ability to draw on calming visual cues. It's excellent for use in conjunction with EMDR treatments, or as a quick way to self-soothe.
